Character & Canon: Yang Fang Leiden, Final Fantasy IV
District: Highcrest
Personality:
Yang is a largely serious and quiet man, possessing great inner focus and self-awareness. He is a polite and respectful individual, with a deep sense of honor. Yang is loyal to his friends and to his kingdom, but not blindly so. He possesses great compassion and kindness and takes his duties very seriously. He also possesses a cool head when others about him are losing theirs.
Embarking upon quests to save the world, throwing himself into Leviathan-filled waters to save a little girl, taking on a giant bomb without any back up, Yang is obviously a very brave man. But it is important to note that he is not suicidally brave and knows when to beat a tactical retreat.
Yang's training gives him great focus and self-control, but he is capable of great anger when the situation calls for it. As an honorable man, he takes great care to act honorable at all times.
Time and time again, Yang displays a self-sacrificing streak, willing to put himself in great and possibly deadly danger for the sake of others, be they his friends and allies or people he does not even know. While not suicidally brave, as noted above, he is pragmatic enough to recognize when there are no other options.
Yang is happily married to a woman most would find downright frightening, and even he is loathe to try and face her anger, but give that they have been married for many years, it says much about his love for her.
If Yang can be said to have any faults beyond those noted above, it is a love of sleeping in.
